Start the APICS Membership Process

Click here to start the APICS membership process. You will be taken to the APICS site for membership applications. Select the type of membership under the "Membership Categories" section to begin.

Why You Should Join APICS

When you join APICS, you become a member of the national Association and a member of a local Chapter.  APICS and the Chapters charge lower rates for members for all testing, materials, seminars and classes.

Download the APICS Member Resource Guide for a complete list of benefits

If you have decided to pursue either of the certifications, the first thing you should do is join APICS to get the benefits of professional membership and to be eligible for the discounts.  For example, the extra cost for non-members for just the five examinations will pay for a one-year membership in the Association and the Phoenix Chapter!  Additionally, the CPIM/CFPIM certifications require that you maintain this certification by achieving 75 points within a five year period.  Professional Membership will earn you 30 of those points.  You are going to invest time and money in this certification process and you will want to keep it maintained.  So, don’t delay and join today!

As a new member, you can request to have APICS send you the current edition of the APICS Dictionary – a $25.00* value.  You can also request the CD of the International Conference Proceedings held each October, or a free copy of the APICS Operations Management Body of Knowledge Framework (OMBOK) publication.   These are not sent out automatically.  Once you become a member, call APICS at 800-444-APICS (2742) to order.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to select the Phoenix Chapter Code of “PHOE” on your membership application to obtain Phoenix Chapter discounts. Students should select a Student Chapter affiliation of "ASU" or "DeVry" to obtain Phoenix Chapter discounts, but are not required to attend the selected affiliate chapter.

Unemployed? Extend your Membership Privileges!

If you are an unemployed APICS member whose membership is coming up for renewal and you are actively seeking work within the production and inventory management field, you may apply for an extension of membership benefits through the Unemployed Membership Extension Program.

This program enables members seeking employment within the production and inventory management industry to extend their membership for six months free of charge*. If you meet this criterion and are interested in applying for an extension of membership benefits due to unemployment, download an application or contact APICS Customer Support.

Phoenix Chapter members can apply for the extension through the Phoenix Chapter. The extension benefit includes the Chapter Dues waiver. Chapter members must participate in the following job-seeking activities in order for the Chapter to approve the waiver: 1) submit a resume to the Chapter resume bank per requirements; 2) view job postings on the District Job bank and apply for at least 1 posted job (waived if no AZ jobs are posted), and 3) attend a minimum of one Professional Development Meeting for networking during the two months prior to membership expiration. Please note: Membership extension benefits are signed at the Professional Development Meetings only after successful completion of 1&2. Members approved for this waiver will receive electronic membership for the duration of the waiver, which entitles you to electronic communication of all member benefit materials.

Members may apply for this extension up to three times for coverage over an 18 month period. Members must complete all three activities per the above requirements for a Chapter extension approval.

Benefit Extension Application for Unemployed Members

Are you a Military Reservist called to Active Duty? Extend your Membership Privileges!

If you are an APICS member who has been called to active duty to serve in our armed forces, you may apply for an extension of membership benefits through the Military Extension Benefit Program.

APICS Professional Members can request an extension of benefits due to activation of reserve commitments. Activated Military personnel may receive a no-cost six-month extension of benefits. The APICS Association will determine the length and timing of the extension and will post the benefit requirements to the Association website. For the current membership extension program, activated military reservists can extend their membership for six months free of charge but may apply for this extension one time.

Phoenix Chapter members can apply for the military reservist extension benefit through the Phoenix Chapter. The extension benefit includes the Chapter Dues waiver. The Chapter member is responsible for ensuring completion all required forms and submitting the forms to the Association. To qualify for the Chapter Dues waiver, the member must submit the request to the Chapter Office and:
1. Provide proof of reserve duty, such as activation letter.
2. Agree to public recognition of the Member’s military reserve duty status (i.e. posting to Chapter website, blast e-mail, and/or newsletter article).
