Steven Brown is a Senior Lecturer of Supply Chain Management at Arizona State University, teaching various courses in the SCM undergraduate program and several elective courses in the Evening MBA program. He also is a visiting professor at the China-Europe International Business School in Shanghai where he teaches their supply chain management course each summer. He has also taught Lean Manufacturing techniques in the Executive Education program of the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering. Steven proudly received the John W. Teets Award for 2004-2005 as the Outstanding Undergraduate Professor in the W.P. Carey School of Business.

Prior to joining Arizona State University he created and managed analytical modeling programs for Infineon Technologies, Inc, and SEMATECH. Steven has over thirty years of business experience with a strong background in production management, program management, and process improvement practices at the factory level. He has worked exclusively in the fields of operations management and service operations management and has managed strategic programs and projects in 10 different countries during his business career.

Steven's teaching philosophy centers on an understanding of practical applications of the textbook theories. Because of his extensive business experience, Steven is able to teach a wide range of subjects. He has taught classes in international business, international management, global supply chain management, quality management, business process improvement, strategic sourcing, negotiations, economic analysis for engineering, manufacturing engineering project management, planning and control systems, operations management, and service operations management. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Trinity University and an MBA degree from Abilene Christian University at Dallas.
