Laura has a BSE in Industrial Engineering and an MBA with a focus in Supply Chain Management, both from Arizona State University. She also has a Six Sigma Black Belt at Honeywell, in addition to the APICS designations of CPIM and CSCP. She has held positions in quality control and operational excellence at Honeywell Aerospace, materials management at Avnet Electronic Components, and is currently the Phoenix site leader of VMI and pull replenishment strategies at Honeywell Aerospace.

Laura is also an active member of the Society of Women Engineers and regularly speaks at the regional and national conferences. At ASU, Laura was the President of the student chapter of INFORMS, and tutored for Operations Research and Simulation of Stochastic Systems.
