Marco Ugarte is a PhD student in the School of Sustainability, Research Associate for The Sustainability Consortium, and Entrepreneur from the Edson initiative at Arizona State University.

Former Vice President for Student Chapters in Mexico City and Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Awarded Student Chapter Mentor in 2005 and Member of the Year in 2008 by APICS International and the APICS Phoenix Chapter respectively.

Designated Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) in 2003 and 2008 respectively; Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) by the American Society for Quality in 2004.

Marco Ugarte holds a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering and a M.E. in Quality and Productivity Systems, both from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
